BBT-SE Immersive Experience

We had the honor of writing a new chapter in the history of Europe’s great infrastructure projects.

In front of the Plessi Museum on the A22, the breakthrough ceremony took place in the exploratory tunnel of the Brenner Base Tunnel. Present were Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Matteo Salvini, and his counterpart from Vienna.

The Brenner Base Tunnel is not just an infrastructure project: it is a project of continental significance. It will be the first underground connection between Italy and Austria. With its 65 km, it will become the longest railway tunnel in the world.

To celebrate this historic milestone, we created an immersive show that transformed the ceremony into a unique visual experience, literally taking the audience through the excavation project and paying tribute to the two main builder nations: Italy and Austria.

More than 18,000 pixels arranged in an arc engaged the audience, literally surrounding them in an immersive and perspective-driven experience, capable of conveying the energy and uniqueness of the project even to those who had never before entered the world’s longest excavation.

The breakthrough of the diaphragm, the highlight of the event, was preceded by an epic content piece dedicated to the future passage of freight and passenger trains, which we literally projected in front of the 1,000 guests in attendance.

A project that will change the way we travel, transport goods, and connect cultures.
